Moving (Loading & Unloading)
These terms and conditions govern the use of moving services provided by Kal El Moving and Labor Company, hereinafter referred to as "the Company". By booking and using our services, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
1. Booking and Confirmation:
1.1. To book our moving services, you must provide accurate information regarding your moving requirements, including the date, time, locations, and any special instructions.
1.2. Booking confirmation is subject to availability and is considered confirmed only upon receipt of confirmation from the Company.
2. Pricing and Payment:
2.1. The pricing for our moving services is based on factors including but not limited to the volume of goods, distance traveled, additional services requested, availability of elevator, obtaining keys, and any applicable taxes or fees.
2.2. The final price will be communicated to you upon booking and must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the moving process, unless otherwise agreed upon.
2.3. Payment can be made via credit/debit card.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling:
3.1. If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, you must provide notice to the Company at least 2 days prior to the scheduled moving date.
3.2. Cancellations or rescheduling made within 2 days of the scheduled moving date may incur a cancellation or rescheduling fee, as determined by the Company.
3.3. The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, vehicle breakdown, or other factors beyond our control.
4. Responsibilities of the Customer:
4.1. You are responsible for ensuring that all items to be moved are properly packed and ready for transportation, unless packing services have been specifically requested and agreed upon.
4.2. You must provide clear access to both the pick-up and drop-off locations for our moving team and vehicles.
4.3. It is your responsibility to ensure that any necessary permits or permissions for parking or access are obtained prior to the moving date. It is also your responsibility to book adequate time for use of your building's elevator.
5. Liability and Insurance:
5.1. The Company shall take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safe transportation of your belongings.
5.2. However, the Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage to your belongings during the moving process, except in cases of negligence on the part of the Company. If loss or damage if found to be due to negligence on the part of the Company, a reimbursement of $0.06 per pound will be issued within 30 days of the approved claim. Flat-pack and MDW items are not eligible for damages as these items are not meant to be transported once assembled. Live plants are also excluded from damage claims. If customer refuses or does not supply protective supplies such as shrink wrap, pads/furniture blankets, etc. the Company shall not be liable for any damages. The Company shall not be liable to damages occurring during disassembly or reassembly due to ill-functioning or damaged hardware (screws, bolts, nails), furniture with pre-existing damage, or furniture that was improperly assembled prior to our arrival.
5.3. We recommend that you obtain appropriate insurance coverage for your belongings during the moving process.
6. Indemnity:
6.1. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its employees, agents, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of our moving services.
7. Changes to Terms and Conditions:
7.1. The Company reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
7.2. Any changes to these terms and conditions will be effective immediately upon posting on the Company's website.
8. Governing Law:
8.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Illinois.
8.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Illinois.

Furniture and Small Structure Assembly
These terms and conditions govern the use of furniture assembly services provided by Kal El Moving & Labor Company, hereinafter referred to as "the Company". By booking and using our services, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
1. Booking and Confirmation:
1.1. To book our furniture assembly services, you must provide accurate information regarding the items to be assembled, including the make and model if available, as well as any special instructions or requirements.
1.2. To book our small structure assembly services, you must provide accurate information regarding the structure to be assembled, including the type, size, and any special instructions or requirements. You must also provide accurate information regarding the area in which the structure will be assembled, including ensuring the foundation is flat/level. Also ensuring there is a power outlet nearby. You must also include information about which direction you’d like the front of the structure to face. For example, towards the front of the house, towards the back of the house, towards the driveway, etc.
1.3. Booking confirmation is subject to availability and is considered confirmed only upon receipt of confirmation from the Company.
2. Pricing and Payment:
2.1. The pricing for our furniture assembly services is based on factors including but not limited to the complexity of assembly, number of items, and any additional services requested.
2.2. The final price will be communicated to you upon booking and must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the assembly process, unless otherwise agreed upon.
2.3. Payment can be made via credit/debit card.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling:
3.1. If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, you must provide notice to the Company at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled assembly time.
3.2. Cancellations or rescheduling made within 24 hours of the scheduled assembly time will incur a cancellation or rescheduling fee, as determined by the Company.
3.3. The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to unforeseen circumstances such as technician unavailability or other factors beyond our control.
4. Responsibilities of the Customer:
4.1. You are responsible for providing access to the location where the assembly is to take place, including ensuring that the area is clear and ready for assembly.
4.2. You must provide all necessary parts, hardware, and assembly instructions for the items to be assembled, unless otherwise agreed upon with the Company.
4.3. It is your responsibility to ensure that any necessary permits or permissions for access to the assembly location are obtained prior to the scheduled assembly time.
5. Liability and Warranty:
5.1. The Company shall take all reasonable precautions to ensure the proper assembly of your furniture items.
5.2. However, the Company shall not be liable for any damage to your furniture or property during the assembly process, except in cases of negligence on the part of the Company.
5.3. Please refer to your Manufacturer Warranty, or the Warranty of Service provided by the 3rdparty you initially booked your service(s) with. This warranty covers any defects in workmanship or assembly errors and will entitle you to repair or replacement, as determined by the Company.
6. Indemnity:
6.1. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its employees, agents, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of our furniture assembly services.
7. Changes to Terms and Conditions:

Mounting Service
By booking any mounting service, customer affirms walls and customer supplied mounts, hardware, and electronic device(s) are suitable for mounting. Kal El Moving & Labor Company is not liable for time spent, supplies, or cosmetic damage that might occur due to unsuitable walls, customer supplied mounts, hardware, and electronic device(s) . This includes stud placement issues.

2.1. The pricing for our cleaning services is based on factors including but not limited to the type of cleaning, size of the property, and any additional services requested.

4.2. You must provide all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment unless otherwise agreed upon with the Company.
4.3. It is your responsibility to secure any valuables or fragile items prior to the cleaning service.
5. Liability and Insurance:
5.1. The Company shall take all reasonable precautions to ensure the proper cleaning of your property.
5.2. However, the Company shall not be liable for any damage to your property or belongings during the cleaning process, except in cases of negligence on the part of the Company.
5.3. We maintain appropriate insurance coverage to protect against any liabilities arising from our cleaning services.

No refunds on services rendered. We will work with you to find a solution to the issue. No refunds for unused time.
